Folding stool in teak and leather designed by Poul Hundevad.

The “Guldhøjstolen” is a classic piece of Danish design, inspired by the Guldhøj archaeological find — Discovered in a burial mound in Jutland, the original bronze-age foldable stool was a remarkable example of early Scandinavian craftsmanship.

In 1958, Poul Hundevad created a modern interpretation of this ancient design, crafting the PH 43 model.
The stool is both a tribute to historical craftsmanship and an iconic example of Danish mid-century design.

Unique lounge chair “Flyder” designed by Nils-Ole Zib in 1994.

Produced as a one-off.

Created for ‘Møbelgruppen af 83s’ 10-year anniversary exhibition at Den Frie in Copenhagen — this exceptional lounge chair is as close to a hammock as a chair can be.

A sculptural stainless steel frame supports suspended leather, finished with turned mahogany spheres, resulting in a floating, almost weightless seating experience.
A rare and poetic example of Danish experimental furniture design from the 1990s.

Original exhibition catalogue from 1994 included.

Nils-Ole Zib is a Danish furniture designer and cabinetmaker, trained at Rud. Rasmussen Snedkerier and holding a Master’s degree in Design from KADK. Former member of Møbelgruppen af 83 and guest exhibitor at Snedkernes Efterårsudstilling. His work spans unique pieces, industrial furniture for Källemo, Skargaarden and Karl Andersson & Söner, as well as restoration of Danish design classics, including Kaare Klint’s interiors at Faaborg Museum.

The B1 chair is a striking example of an asymmetric seating object with multiple ways of use. It stands firmly on three legs, while part of the backrest doubles as an armrest, subtly guiding different sitting positions.

Rather than encouraging rigid, front-facing seating, the B1 invites movement, dialogue, and interaction. Its carefully refined details — tapered legs and smooth transitions in the backrest — reveal a thoughtfully designed object, far removed from anything improvised.

The result is a chair that balances form and function, supporting a more open and non-hierarchical way of communicating.
